It's been a while since I've had time to post, but I definitely wanted to chime in on this bit of news.

Likit Ruk - The Crown Princess is set to air on May 14. Also known as The Destiny of Love / Love's Destiny, this lakorn is from Thong Entertainment and features the favorite main couple of Nadech and Yaya. It's directed by one of Thai's best directors, Aew Amipaiporn who also directed Kluen Cheevit, Sawan Biang among other hits by actress Anne Thongprasom, whose company produces this lakorn.

I'm really looking forward to seeing if Yaya's chemistry with Nadech can compare to Yaya and Mark Prin's chemistry in Kluen Cheevit. I believe SJDK fansub will be subbing this.

THE PLOT
Likit Ruk is a lakorn about a crown princess whose live is in danger and needs protection, played by Yaya. Nadech is a bodyguard who has to protect her. Other than that, not much else is known about the plot.

Some reports suggest that this lakorn is a remake of Anne's old lakorn, Manee Yard Fah, which would be a good thing as the original remake had lots of drama, heartfelt angst and beautiful love scenes, not to mention a beautiful soundtrack. It also had annoying side characters though as well.

In Manee Yard Fah (review here), the couple get married so the princess can live as a commoner in disguise and be safe. And it does look like there might be a marriage in Likit Ruk as well as it seems Yaya wears a wedding dress in some stills, so that would be neat. But the names of the characters and Yaya's gun toting abilities are completely new, so it remains to be seen if this is indeed a remake of Manee Yard Fah or how close a remake it will be. At any rate, China picked up the rights to this lakorn so it looks like Likit Ruk will be available to watch in both China and Thailand on May 14, 2018.
